Operational members are the backbone of our rescue squad. Volunteer crews run every night from 1800 to 0600 and weekend days (both Saturday and Sunday) from 0600 to 1800.
Operational members receive free training to become EMTs, First Responders and Drivers. New members are assigned to volunteer crews after completing a number of required training classes. Senior members commit to volunteer a minimum of 48 hours a month (12 hours per week) and Associate operational members commit to volunteer a minimum of 24 hours a month (12 hours every other week).
Administrative members are associate members that do not run emergency medical calls but provide a variety of administrative and support functions. Our Office Administrator works closely with administrative members and oversees many of their administrative activities. Administrative members commit to volunteer a minimum of 12 hours a month.
Junior members are high school students at least 16 years of age. Junior members may be either operational or administrative. Oftentimes high school students join our squad in conjunction with attending the Monroe Technology Center’s EMT program. Junior members commit to volunteering a minimum of 16 hours a month (4 hours per week).
