FY 2017 Annual Report

The Loudoun County Volunteer Rescue Squad presented their first ever annual report to the Leesburg Town Council on Tuesday October 24th. As the squad’s funding sources evolve, it was important to demonstrate how Loudoun Rescue spends their money and the expense of manpower without volunteers. In addition to purchasing a new ambulance annually, Dave Galen, PIO, provided some real time costs by presenting adjunct equipment such as power cots, LifePaks, and Lucas devices in a “show and tell” fashion. In addition, volunteers contributed over 22,000 hours of service and ran more than 1300 calls. As population growth and call volume rise; Chief Tony Mino and President Jim Cromer fielded staffing questions and stressed the importance of trained volunteers to continue this work in the future. Jody Rosas distributed reports to the council members and was responsible for coordinating the design, layout and production of the document. The council was very grateful for the commitment of our dedicated volunteers and wanted to continue their support of the squad.
