CCA 5K Race

The Catoctin Crescent Association hosted a 5K Race/1K Walk on Saturday Oct. 12 to benefit the Loudoun County Volunteer Rescue Squad and the Douglass School. About 100 die hard runners and walkers showed up on race day. Heavy rains flooded out portions of the W&OD Bike Trail requiring the race course to be shortened. Despite this last minute change, even the rain gods had mercy on the runners since precipitation held up until the race was over then resumed once the final winners were announced. Thanks to the support of our key business partners; Lansdowne Development Group, Middleburg Bank, Alpha Graphics, Mama Luccis, TW Perry, Consignment Boutique, Leesburg Pharmacy, The Fresh Market, Summit Community Bank, Loudoun Guns, Selling Loudoun, Hideaway Massage, Spanky’s Shenanigans, LeVel, Kelly Insurance, and Catoctin Exxon. Their sponsorship allows us to continue our vital mission. For a first time effort, the race was very successful and Rescue Squad is grateful for the tireless efforts of The Catoctin Crescent Association. Please mark your calendar for Saturday October 11, 2014 and we’ll see you on the W&OD.
