911 Motorcycle Ride

Elizabeth Baroody and Karland Moore of the Loudoun County Volunteer Rescue Squad participated in the 911 motorcycle ride  on Friday August 18 commemorating the lives sacrificed on September 11, 2001.   They both drove the squad’s Special Emergency Responce Vehicle from Somerset, PA through Leesburg to the Pentagon and then north to ground zero.  The Squad’s Heavy Rescue truck also participated in part of the ride through Leesburg.  An estimated 2000 motorcycles, and hundreds of first responders from several states participated with assorted fire, rescue and police vehicles throughout the parade.  Local supporters lined the Evergreen Mill Road and Shreve Mill Road overpasses on the Dulles Greenway.
