Little League Safety
Central Loudoun Little League coaches attended their annual safety presentation at Smart’s Mill MS on March 15 to learn about what to do if one of one of their players became ill or sustained an injury. Gary Corpuz and Dave Galen covered topics ranging from blunt trauma to allergic reactions. “It’s all about promoting awareness and knowing what to do or not do to prevent further injury.” Knowing a player’s medical history, allergies and medications go a long way in providing the best possible care. We know that every coach needs to be part parent, part teacher and part paramedic to be effective. Although the coaches never had to call 911; being better prepared for the unexpected always helps. Thank you coaches for your volunteer service.
