Time to Celebrate

The Loudoun County Volunteer Rescue Squad Auxiliary hosted their annual banquet for the squad on Saturday January 22 at the Doubletree Hotel in Sterling.   Patty Russell served as the master of ceremonies.  Outgoing Auxiliary President Kelly Peach passed the ceremonial gavel to the Auxiliary’s incoming president Debbie Smallwood.  Auxiliary and squad officers were sworn in by Leesburg Mayor Kristen Umstattd and the squad was presented a check from the Town of Leesburg.   President Jeff Frazee and Chief Marie Powell presented numerous awards to members saluting their volunteer commitment to the squad.  Incoming Chief Wagner Grier presented the Chief’s helmet to Chief Marie Powell for her 2 terms of service.
